November 17th, 2008Enlightening birds eye view of personal branding in this presentation by Dan Schawbel. He covers the four parts of everyone’s personal brand: discover, create, communicate, and maintain, then gives some really practical tools for implementing each of these things in your life. I personally enjoyed the section on discovering your personal brand. Many of the concerns people have about the term “personal branding” center around the idea of being fake or insincere with others, where you brand becomes something your not. I think Dan does a great job of explaining how to discover (not invent) what makes you unique.
