Nectar Launch Rescheduled For November 3rd
September 30th, 2008One of our core values at Nectar is openness and transparency, which is why we felt our rescheduled launch date needed a bit of explaining. If you’ve been following the countdown on our home page you realized that as of this morning, we added a couple of weeks to our timeline, which was due in large part to three factors:
1. Extra development time on the customer administration panel. This is the heart of each Nectar site and enables you to customize the content on your page. Given the critical importance of this interface, we felt it necessary to further explore design options to ensure both ease and speed of use.
2. Develop additional “tastes”. Tastes refer to the various website designs available for purchase from Nectar and we wanted you to have adequate options to choose from from the onset. We should be launching with at least five unique tastes and a solid stream of new options each month.
3. Troubleshooting and planning for the unexpected. It’s important to us that this launch go as smoothly as possible and we want to respect the schedules of the folks working on this project who are juggling more than one job, instead of applying too much pressure which could result in functional deficiencies. Regardless, our extension should give us time to deal with those little nuisances if and when they do come up.
As far as we’re concerned November 3rd can’t come soon enough! Thanks for all of the feedback thus far.
